Designing and creating Jo's dress was extra special as she's not only a stunning bride but also my sister. For Jo I designed and created a beautiful silk satin bias cut gown with a 'V' neck, low back and finished with a puddle train. As she got married in the Autumn, Jo wanted a long sleeve lace top to go over her dress, she picked a beautiful beaded lace that I made into a long sleeve lace jacket with a scalloped hem, finished with beautiful glass buttons and an ivory ribbon, Jo removed the jacket for her evening reception showing off her beautiful silk dress.

Jo and Simon were married in Hargate Hall in October 2015 in a beautiful celebration, full of fun and enjoyment.

"I am extremely lucky as my sister is an extremely talented professional designer and seamstress so offered to make my dress for me. Susie understood my vision for the wedding perfectly and designed a dress that captured the classic and original style with something that I would feel myself in. I don’t believe there is a dress in the world I would have been happier with – it was perfect!"

"There was also another very special moment in the day for me. On the morning of the wedding, my sister brought me and dad together to show us that she had sewn a beautiful heart in our dresses and dads tie in the fabric mum was going to wear to our wedding. She had sewn it close to our hearts so we could feel close to her all day."
