Katt & Jamie
Katt and Jamie got married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Comrie Croft in Crieff, Scotland. Their ceremony featured a tradition tying of the tartans followed by a banquet style feast in the Comrie Croft barn decorated with luscious greenery and flowers and they finished the night with a ceilidh and a silent disco-this pair know how to throw a party!
Katt got in touch with me to make her wedding dress as she was worried about what to wear and admitted she would feel most comfortable walking down the aisle in her jeans and leather jacket! I loved designing and creating Katts dress, I wanted to make sure she felt comfortable and confident and most of all like herself. Once her dress design had been finalised she decided she wanted to add a bespoke jacket to finish off her outfit so I created a Lace jacket in beautiful guipure heavy lace that was influenced by her own leather jacket, it finished off her outfit perfectly and she rocked it for most of the day! Her dress was a bias cut gown in 100% sandwashed silk that has a lovely soft buttery feel to it. Her dress had a deep V neck and a plunging back which was trimmed with the lace from her jacket and it was finished off with covered buttons down the back.
For the men in the wedding Jamie wanted som bespoke ties making in an ocean blue tweed and also some flashes for his socks to match! And the pair also asked me to create a dress for their little flower girl who absolutely stole the show in her white converse!
“Susie made me the dress I never knew I wanted. I felt relaxed, elegant and like myself. She made me a bespoke lace jacket (styled on my favourite leather jacket!) which transformed my wedding dress, my look and how I felt. It couldn’t have been more me. She was understanding of my hectic schedule, helped give me direction and made the whole process fun, and made it about more than a dress for the day - she made it about our wedding and celebrating everything that I was as a person, then a bride.”
